Job Summary:
The TGT English teacher will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to students from classes VI to X in alignment with the CBSE curriculum. The role involves building communication skills, literary appreciation, and language proficiency among students through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language and Literature to classes VI to X in line with CBSE curriculum.
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons, assignments, and activities to improve reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Prepare students for CBSE Class X board exams, with focus on grammar, comprehension, and writing formats.
- Create and evaluate assessments (class tests, projects, unit tests, etc.) and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote literary interest through debates, recitations, essay writing, drama, and school publications.
- Use technology (smart boards, PPTs, Google Classroom, etc.) to support and enrich classroom teaching.
- Identify learning needs and provide remedial support as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, academic events, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain student records, prepare report cards, and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
- Encourage student participation in English Olympiads, inter-school literary competitions, and exhibitions.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in English with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. degree (mandatory) from an NCTE-recognized institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) – Paper II qualified (preferred).
- Additional certifications in spoken English, drama, creative writing, or communication skills will be a plus.
Experience:
- Freshers with excellent communication and teaching aptitude may also be considered.
