Job Summary:
The TGT Social Studies teacher will be responsible for teaching History, Geography, Civics, and Economics to students of Classes VI to X as per CBSE curriculum. The teacher will ensure concept clarity, foster civic awareness, and help develop analytical skills in students through interactive and engaging teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) to classes VI to X.
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons as per the CBSE curriculum and guidelines.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessment materials.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments, and provide timely feedback to students.
- Integrate maps, charts, and visual aids to enhance learning experiences.
- Prepare students for Class X CBSE Board Examination, focusing on conceptual clarity and writing skills.
- Encourage student participation in quizzes, debates, model UNs, and exhibitions.
- Maintain records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning, activities, and school events.
- Use technology and digital tools (e.g., Smart Boards, Google Classroom) for interactive teaching.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support when necessary.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in History / Geography / Political Science / Economics with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution (mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications:
- CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) – Paper II qualified (preferred).
- Knowledge of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines and 21st-century teaching approaches.
Experience:
- Freshers with strong communication skills and sound subject knowledge can also apply.
